As much as I love Sterling Silver jewelry, I hate it when it starts turning black. I've had this necklace for a little more than a year and it's already turned so dark that I can't wear it anymore. So I went on a hunt to look for a solution to my problem as I really wanted to be able to wear my necklace again.

A few bloggers mentioned this cloth that you can buy at your local Tiffany & Co store. It costs $5 at your local Tiffany's. The woman who helped me told me the price and I just said okay. She then proceeded to take my necklace to the back and try to dip it into something to clean it off, but that failed. She ended up apologizing for not being able to help me with my problem and offered the cloth to me free of charge, along with a new pouch to carry my necklace. :) What excellent customer service!

Here is a comparison of what the necklace looked like before and after. The heart on the left was cleaned with the cloth and the one on the right was how they looked prior to cleaning.

After a bunch of rubbing and trying to get into the cracks, here is the final result! A necklace I can finally wear again and actually distinguish what's written on it. haha.

Lately I've been really into trying different restaurants in the area. This place is called Bangkok Garden Thai Restaurant. It's located in Hackensack, NJ. My mom was craving Thai/Malaysian food, so we decided to look around for a restaurant. I came across this one, which has a 4 star rating, so we decided to give it a try.

There was plenty of street parking and I believe there's a parking lot in the back (there were customers coming in front the back) The first thing I noticed was how many people were in there! The street was pretty quiet, so I was surprised that there were this many people in the restaurant. The wait wasn't too long. We waited about 20 mins or so. However, while we were waiting, I noticed how slow the service was. One table sat down before us waited about 10 minutes before getting water. That made us worry a bit about how long it would take for the food to come.

Fortunately, we sat down around 8pm so the main wave of customers was over. It took a while for the waiter to come over and take our order. Probably around 10 minutes or so. I got a Thai Iced Tea to start. It was pretty good. It did taste a little differently than other Thai restaurants I've been to.

I personally thought the Seafood Nugget was good! It was a bit on the pricey side though. My parents weren't too fond of it though. I think the crispy outside was really good. :) I have a thing for crispy foods. The 'nugget' title was a good choice. The texture was similar to McDonald's Chicken McNuggets. haha.

The Satae, I was definitely not a fan of. I found the meat to be mediocre compared to all the other satays I've had. It didn't help that by the time it came to our table, it was already cold. This was definitely a disappointment for me.

The Pa-nang was really good! It was a bit on the spicier side for me so I ended up getting it to go and mixing water with it at home. Unfortunately when they packed it, they didn't give me the whole thing for some reason... they threw away a lot of the sauce and gave me all the beef instead, which wasn't as good to me.

Overall, this place is on the border of hit or miss. I probably won't be revisiting again though since nothing really "wowed" me.

I also created new banners for my shop & Facebook page! What do you think? I've been in a creative/Photoshop mood lately due to my day job tasks so I decided to finally create banners for my shop. It's been a long time since I've gotten a Photoshop assignment (those college days!) so it's nice to be able to work on stuff like this again.

I tried my very first real shrimp crackers a few days ago and they're actual dried shrimps. It actually didn't taste as 'seafood'ish as I thought it would've. I preferred the crackers under it more. :)

It was like eating shrimp shells, actually. But it was a fun experience!

UPDATE: I enlarged the area that the stamp takes up so there's not as much distraction going on when people are trying to view my items.

I've been trying to find ways to revamp my shop to make it look more interesting. So I spent my afternoon today taking and editing new pictures for my listings (and pictures for 5 new listings for this week) I can't really decide which one effectively displays my stamps better. :(

This is what the new pictures look like now:

Packaging & shipping is probably the hardest task for me regarding this shop. I have a lot of trouble conjuring up ideas on how to present my items. Thank goodness for Pinterest now, huh?

After many days of scrolling through Pinterest at work, I saw a few ideas that I really liked. One fellow Etsy seller posted a picture of her packaging where she used different colors of baker's twine. Coincidentally, I bought 2 rolls (10 yds each) from Target a while back because it was so adorable. I didn't even have a use for it at the time, but when I see cute stuff, I just want everything!

So after much thought, I decided to go with the twine idea. I also have lots of ribbons so I'll be alternating between the two! Next I needed a box to hold the item. Back when I was selling my items in JustHonnie, I shipped my items in a brown cardboard box. I still have like 10 more so I figured I'd use them first. But I wanted to stick with the whole 'eco-friendly' kind of feel. I ordered 12 mini boxes on eBay this time. They're much flatter than my current boxes, which is good because it saves space and allows me to ship with a smaller bubble mailer. (less weight!)
Next I created a logo for my shop. I wanted something simple, but cute so I figured that I'd make the icon as a coffee logo. The whole reason why I chose 'coffee' to be part of my shop's name was because every time I carve, I always have a cup of coffee next to me.

It's nothing too fancy, but it serves it's purpose. It effectively represents me and my shop. :)
